Anwen Roberts donates painting to Oriel Ynys Môn collection.

Anwen’s work is inspired by rural living and her background in farming. Portraing the seasonal changes of landscapes, of light and colour, and of the varied and numerous activities that are carried out during the farming year. Oriel ynys Môn and Anglesey County Council would like to express their thanks to Anwen for donating the painting As one to Oriel Ynys Môn’s Collection.

A poignant project which will capture the harsh reality of the First World War has received a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Fred and Doris Dargie on their wedding day. Fred’s heartfelt letters to Doris from the front line, form an integral part of the exhibition and help us to tell the story of the Great War.
